Elaine: Sex and the Single Ambassador – Part I
By Kaitlyn K
“Madam Ambassador, good morning, ma’am.”
Elaine, the United States Ambassador to Trgloshistan, immediately recognized Benjamin from last year’s visit and she was as attracted to him now as she was then. Benjamin was still impeccably dressed, still tall and lean and while his somewhat curly black hair had a touch of gray in it now, it still went almost to his shoulders. She was grateful for his nametag, though, because she could not for the life of her remember his name.
“Benjamin,” she said, sticking out her hand. “How very nice to see you again.”
She had just gotten off an elevator and, like last year, Benjamin was there to escort her to a speech she was going to give to a Trgloshistan trade group.
Benjamin was as attracted to the United States Ambassador to Trgloshistan as she was to him. She was in her mid-50’s, had short, professionally coiffed blonde hair and not only had the good looks Benjamin required, she radiated power and confidence, too, which also drove Benjamin wild.
“Welcome back, Madam Ambassador. It is a pleasure to see you again.”
“You’re not going to get me lost, again are you, Benjamin?”
They both laughed. Last year the hotel’s conference center was still new, and on the way to her speech it turned out Benjamin didn’t know the layout of the new conference center as well as he thought he did and in fairly short order Benjamin had Madam Ambassador’s party lost.
Benjamin was moderately, though pleasantly, surprised, to note Elaine flirted with him.
“Madam, Ambassador,” Benjamin had said with a manner born of a professional career dealing with the upper and ruling classes. “It appears I’ve gotten us lost.”
Elaine laughed. A genuine laugh of pleasure, not a fake laugh. “That’s all right,” she had said, winking at him. “I liked looking at you.”
———
Benjamin and Elaine wanted each other. Elaine, however, could not let Benjamin know this. She was a United States Ambassador for Pete’s sake – even if it was to Trgloshistan, wherever the hell that was – and not some floozy in a bar looking to get picked up.
Still, though, she was a woman. She wanted Benjamin then, and she wanted him now.
For his part, Benjamin was determined to ask her out this year. Fresh off of being dumped by Courtney’s mother – and Courtney and Haley for that matter – for someone else, he was still no closer to acquiring a mate than he had been at most other times in his adult life.
Last year, curious, Benjamin had done some research and found that as a United States Ambassador, even one to goddamned Trgloshistan, wherever the hell that was, Elaine ranked ninth on the US Order of Precedence, between former presidents of the United States and the current Secretary of State, and Benjamin had never gone out with someone that high on the national pecking order. The list was headed, of course, by the president and ended, apparently, but five-star generals and admirals, of which the United States currently had none of.
Benjamin and Elaine were yapping like old friends on the walk to the conference center. The president Elaine was serving would be leaving office soon and Benjamin asked about her plans, which included a professorship and some writing, plus the usual corporate board positions people of Elaine’s status were usually able to drum up.
They were about halfway there when Benjamin made his move. He was aided by Madam Ambassador’s entourage – a couple of aids and a State Department security guy – which was doing a good job of making themselves useless by walking a few steps behind them.
“Let’s have dinner tonight,” Benjamin asked impulsively.
Benjamin was surprised he had actually asked Elaine out.
The United States Ambassador to Trgloshistan regarded the commoner with a smile that spoke of both surprise and pleasure.
“We’ll go someplace local,” Benjamin said as United States Ambassador to Trgloshistan looked at him. Benjamin was pleased to note United States Ambassador to Trgloshistan also had a curious gleam in her eye.
“All right,” she said, looking around conspiratorially. “I’m free tonight.”
———
The date had gone splendidly. Benjamin had been true to his word, taking the United States Ambassador to Trgloshistan to what could charitably be called a dive. It was a diner in a suitably seedy part of town with dark wood everywhere and the tables had red and white checkered tablecloths that had been new once.
Elaine had grown up in privilege and had not been favored with a whole lot of dive atmosphere over the years and had loved it from the start. And she really enjoyed Benjamin. She hadn’t expected too much in the conversation department. Benjamin was a commoner who ran a hotel, after all, but she found Benjamin to be engaging, funny conversation, with the inquisitive, working mind typical of the self-educated. He was able to talk nimbly on a variety of topics, and expertly about a couple.
Benjamin was also making the United States Ambassador to Trgloshistan very wet.
Elaine did not get around much, much less with younger men. Sex simply was not an important part of her life. It never had been. While Wellesley girls spread their legs as often as their plebian, public school counterparts, Elaine had known for a long time she would be a diplomat and since she knew what she was about she didn’t need the validation or the attention that came from getting laid left and right.
Elaine – born to, and bred for, the life of a diplomat – greatly and dearly enjoyed her work. She had married once, was sad when her husband died, but was not interested in remarrying and wasn’t losing too much sleep over the fact she wasn’t a mother.
Her last sexual experience had been with a prince while on a mission in Europe the previous year. She had consented not only because she was horny, but also because the planning their rendezvous required had intrigued her. Princes lead very luxurious lives, but their lives are not their own and someone knows where the prince is and what the prince is doing every moment of every day, and Elaine found it kind of fun leaving her hotel via the loading dock, and in disguise, and having to produce a password.
Plus the prince was not completely unattractive and was all right conversation. Plus he was a prince for Christ’s sake and how often did a girl have a chance to get laid by a prince in a genuine, straight-from-the-fairytale palace?
Elaine, though, found the prince not as interesting in the sack as he was out of it, as perfunctory as meeting his mother the sovereign had been, though less fun, and she had been dismissed within an hour.
Elaine, who dealt mainly with people her age or older, found Benjamin downright invigorating. Their dinner was leisurely, comfortable and entertaining.
Now they found themselves outside the restaurant walking to Benjamin’s car.
Benjamin didn’t particularly want to do anything except fuck Elaine’s brains out.
Elaine didn’t particularly want to do anything else except have Benjamin fuck her brains out.
Benjamin knew when a woman wanted him and he could tell the United States Ambassador to Wherever wanted him. She had spent a good portion of dinner curling her hair behind an ear because she subconsciously wished Benjamin was doing it for her, or crossing and uncrossing her legs because she subconsciously wished she were spreading them for him. Plus her upper chest, which her blouse plainly revealed, was flush, always a sign a woman was turned on.
Benjamin figured a United States Ambassador would have better sense than to get a room with him, but Benjamin also knew from experience that you never really knew what the hell a woman was thinking, so instead of opening Elaine’s door he took her face in his hands and kissed her.
Elaine accepted Benjamin’s kiss like a wanderer getting their first glass of water after a month in the desert, and they made out for a bit.
“I want you,” Elaine said.
“That is something we have in common, Madam Ambassador,” Benjamin said formally.
“We can’t very well go to my suite,” Elaine said.
Benjamin shook his head in agreement.
“Let’s go across the street,” Benjamin said, nodding in the direction of a by-the-hour motel.
Elaine glanced across the street in horror, then regarded Benjamin as if he had suggested they screw right there in the parking lot.
“Benjamin!” Elaine whispered, almost hissing. “I can’t go there! I’m a US Ambassador!”
“So don’t flash your U.S. Ambassador ID card,” Benjamin said, smiling. They held hands and, to ensure no one saw them crossing the street, Elaine looked both ways no less than a dozen times.
In short order Benjamin and Elaine were at the entrance to the motel, which was behind a rather ornate brick wall, the better to hide US Ambassadors about to get a room.
“What do the older woman/younger man bylaws say about the acquisition of a room?” Elaine, now greatly enjoying her role, asked conspiratorially.
“Oh, the by-laws are very clear on the matter,” Benjamin said. “The older broad pays for the room.”
Elaine laughed.
“I am the older broad,” Elaine said with relish. “Very well.” Elaine sounded very much like an ambassador who had just conceded a point in complex trade negotiations.
She opened her purse, removed her wallet and fished out a one hundred dollar bill. She handed it to Benjamin with a familiarity that gave the impression she routinely handed one hundred dollar bills to younger men in front of by-the-hour motels. Benjamin took the bill, considered the matter for a second, folded it in half, then stuffed it Elaine’s blouse.
“You get it,” he said.
The United States Ambassador to Trgloshistan looked at Benjamin as if Benjamin had suggested she, well, go acquire a room at a by-the-hour motel for the purposes of engaging in sexual relations with a commoner.
“I can’t get it!”
“Elaine, it’s unlikely anybody here will recognize the US Ambassador to whatever the hell your embassy is.”
Elaine laughed. After a second she smiled mischievously. She wondered how many other women who were products of Wellesley, Penn and the University of Chicago had procured by-the-hour rooms. Elaine suspected the number was probably a lot less than the number that really wanted to.
“All right,” she said, smiling. “How long should I get it for?”
“Depends. How horny are you, Madam Ambassador?
